This section provides step-by-step instructions on how to use Data Hub Portal effectively.

Activate data product subscriptions

To activate a data product subscription:

  1. Log in to Data Hub Portal with a Contributor role or higher.
  2. Select the data product from the list and click the Manage button. It opens the Data product subscription dialog.
  3. In the dialog, set the Status to Active and select a Frequency.
  4. Click Save changes to confirm and apply the updates.

â„šī¸ Note: You can refresh the Homepage to verify that the Status, Frequency, and Last update fields for the selected data product are correctly updated.

Deactivate data product subscriptions

To deactivate a data product subscription:

  1. Log in to Data Hub Portal with a Contributor role or higher.
  2. Select the data product from the list and click the Manage button. It opens the Data product subscription dialog.
  3. In the dialog, set the Status to Inactive.
  4. Click Save changes to confirm and apply the updates.

âš ī¸ Warning: You cannot deactivate a subscription in Initiated status.

Filter data product columns

To filter columns in the main grid: 1. Type into the filter fields for text-based columns. 1. You can also click the Filter button to access extended filtering options for each column.

Access data

Example using Microsoft Power BI

Delta Sharing credentials are sent via encrypted email and contain a single-use URL to download a credential file. The credential file includes the server endpoint and a bearer token.

To connect in Microsoft Power BI:

  1. Click Get Data in the Home Tab ribbon.
  2. Click More.
  3. Search for Delta Sharing connector.
  4. Click Connect.

  5. Enter the Delta Sharing Server URL and the bearer token from the credential file.

  6. Select completed data subscriptions and click Load or Transform Data for a more advanced data preparation.
