Data Hub Portal is designed to help you easily access various sections and functionalities of the platform.

Homepage

The Homepage serves as the central hub, providing an overview of available data products for each tenant's subscription, recent updates, and quick access to essential features.

The side bar is located on the left side of the window and contains the following elements:

Element Description
Tenant name Read-only field. It displays the current tenant.
User menu Click to display the menu. It gives access to:
• User name
• Role
• About Unit4 Data Hub Portal
• Online Help
• Log out

Last update Click this button to refresh the list of data products.

Grid

The main grid displays the data products available for subscription. It includes buttons, a pagination bar, and columns with information about each data product.

Buttons

The following buttons are located on the grid:

Element Description
Download statistics Click this button to download metrics of the data product subscriptions and of each ingestion performed for the subscriptions.

It generates CSV files which contain information about the rows processed during the ingestion, the time of the ingestion and the size in megabytes of the data stored for each subscription.
Manage Click this button next to each data product to open the Data product subscription dialog.

Pagination bar

The pagination bar is located at the bottom of the grid and includes the following elements:

Element Description
Page size Use this drop-down to choose the number of data products to display on the grid.
Pagination Click the arrows to navigate through the pages of the grid.

Columns

The main grid includes the following columns, depending on user role. To see your current user role, select the button with your initials to open the User menu.

Filters row

Use the filters to refine the display of data products.

Element Description
Filter text box Use this field on each column to type in and refine the display.
Filter button Click to display more filtering options.

Drop-down options:
• Contains
• Does not contain
• Equals
• Does not equal
• Begins with
• Ends with
• Blank
• Not blank.

Columns available for the Reader role and higher

The following columns are visible to all user roles from Reader and higher.

Column Description
Product ID The data product identifier.
Product title The data product title.
Data source The source system of the data product.
Subscription status The status of subscription for the data product. The following values are possible:

• Unsubscribed: No active subscription.
• Completed: There is an active subscription. The data was retrieved correctly.
• Initiated: Subscription was activated. The data is in the process of retrieval.
• Failed: There is a problem with data processing in DataBricks.
• Error: The subscription could not be completed due to external issues, such as insufficient permissions, restricted access, or data source unavailability.
• ErrorMaxBatchIngestionRetries: This status indicates that three consecutive subscription attempts have failed.
• WaitingOnDemandUpdate: On demand refresh of the subscriptions initiated.
Frequency When the subscription status is Active, the column shows the frequency of data retrieval.

Available frequencies: Daily, Weekly and Monthly.
Last update time The date/time of the last changes done to the subscription.
Last update responsible The user who performed the last changes to the subscription.
Last synchronized The date/time of the last data retrieval for the data product.
Columns available for the Contributor role and higher

The following columns are visible to all user roles from Contributor and higher.

Actions Contains the Manage button for each data product, which opens the Data product subscription dialog.

This dialog displays details of the selected data product subscription.

Read-only

The top section of the dialog contains the following read-only fields:

Element Description
Data product ID
Description
Last changes Last update user name, date and hour.

Actions

The bottom section of the dialog contains the following interactive elements:

Element Description
Status toggle Use it to change the status of a data product to Active (subscribed) or Inactive (unsubscribed).
Frequency drop-down Set the frequency for an active subscription to Daily, Weekly, or Monthly.
Refresh data button Click to force manual data refresh on the current data product subscription.

The button is active for the subscriptions in status Completed or Error.

Once clicked, it is deactivated and the subscription status is set to WaitingOnDemandUpdate. You must wait one hour to use it again.

ℹ️ Note: This functionality is available only to the Administrator role and higher.
Cancel/X buttons Click to close the window without applying the changes.
Save changes button Click to apply the changes to the subscription and close the window. It opens the Confirmation dialog.

Confirmation dialog

This dialog prompts you to verify changes made to data product subscriptions before they are applied.

The dialog contains the following interactive elements:

Element Description
Cancel/X buttons Click to close the Confirmation dialog without applying any changes. It redirects you to the Manage subscription dialog.
Confirm button Click to apply the changes. It closes both the Confirmation and Manage subscription dialogs, and redirects you to the Homepage.

A status message appears in the bottom-right corner of the Homepage, indicating the result of the operation:
• Success: Changes to the data product were saved successfully.
• Error: Failed to apply the changes to the data product.

User menu

To access the user menu from the Homepage, click the circular button located in the bottom-left corner, which displays your initials.

Online Help Click to access the Online Help documentation.
Logout Click to end the current user session of Data Hub Portal.
