Discovery Service

The Unit4 Discovery service is a system designed for registration and discovery of system instances and tenants. Both systems and tenants are described by a set of properties and mutual relations. Discovery services leverage those to provide answers to questions such as: "Where is the IDS server for tenant x?" or "What is the tenant ID for company Y?

Global Service Registry

U4DS serve as a GSR with the following information:

• where to find a service's pipelines and health endpoint
• how to activate a tenant in a source system
• tenants activated in a source system
• glossaries (stages, regions, stamps, etc.)
